The relaunch of the Zühlke website has created a platform that sets new standards in terms of both technology and content. The aim was to rethink one of Zühlke's most important touchpoints - more emotional, faster and more relevant.
An experience that pops
The more than 70 modules, views and content types were developed in a full fluid design that adapts seamlessly to any screen size and always uses the entire browser window. Instead of classic breakpoints, a mathematical calculation ensures that scaling, spacing and fonts are smoothly oriented to the browser window. No width restriction at 1600px - just up to infinity. Animations and micro-animations bring the content to life and attract attention at certain points.
The CMS also offers a great deal of flexibility: a large number of views allow complex content such as references, insights, events or career offers to be displayed dynamically and individually.
Performance that convinces
The new site runs up to ten times faster. This was made possible by a headless setup based on Drupal, combined with a front-end application in Vue and Nuxt. In conjunction with a highly optimized caching system, it was possible to massively increase the loading speed - despite increasing resources due to the larger image material and more and more complex code as a result of demanding animations. Today, loading times are a decisive factor for user experience and indexing in search engines and LLMs.
Headless as a foundation for the digital future
The headless approach is more than just a technical decision - it is the basis for digital sustainability. Content is maintained centrally, but can be played out flexibly via various channels. The integration of Microsoft Dynamics, for example, incorporates events, registrations and forms directly into the platform. This saves effort, increases data quality and creates space for future expansions. The separation of backend and frontend reduces dependencies, lowers maintenance costs and accelerates development cycles. Time-to-market is a decisive factor during the maintenance phase of a website.
Relevance for brand and business
The website is often the first point of contact with the brand - both in a business and recruiting context. In addition to a stronger positioning compared to competitors, the focus is also on the new requirements for the website. The new user behavior with Zero-click search has an impact on the structure of a website. With a focus on search and LLM-optimized content within the Insights and Cases, Zühlke is becoming even more visible and relevant in the digital space.
The increased performance and optimized user guidance have a direct impact on employer branding, lead generation and customer acquisition. At the same time, internal teams benefit from a CMS that makes content easier, faster and more flexible to manage.
Scalable platform for the next steps
With Drupal 10, an established basis with extensive content was already available. Thanks to the headless architecture, the relaunch could be realized without a complex migration. The new architecture MACHINE Zühlke sees the website as a scalable platform - particularly with regard to the growing use of artificial intelligence. In addition to the Dynamics integration, the integration of further digital services is planned, such as AI Interpolator, OpenAI or Paradox AI for recruiting.
